Pizza Roses
Give someone else flowers, I’ll take a batch of these.
Save the bouquet of roses for the next gal. If you want to impress someone, I say whip up a fresh batch of pizza roses.
Bring these edible flowers to holiday parties, family get-togethers, girls' nights, or just about anywhere. This appetizer is going to be a crowd-pleaser! They’re so dang cute but what I really like about it is the simplicity of it - you can make these with just 4 Ingredients!
Summary list of ingredients:
Pizza Dough – I’ve been making pizza at home for YEARS and my go-to has always been the Pillsbury thin-crust pizza dough,
Vodka Sauce: This may just be a personal preference, but a vodka sauce pie will always be my top pick. If you’re not a fan, you can always opt for a traditional marinara.
Shredded Mozzarella: Staying on theme to simple & convenient: I suggest using a bag of shredded mozzarella.
Pepperoni: Simple & easy is the name of the game so you can use sliced pepperoni from your local grocery store.
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.
Take a cupcake baking tray and spray it with oil to prevent the dough sticking to the tray. (Personally, I use avocado oil).
Lay out the pizza dough on a clean surface and cut the dough into strips.
Lightly tug on the strips to widen them then begin layering ingredients in the following order: vodka sauce, shredded mozzarella, and pepperoni. The pepperoni should sit half on the strip of dough and half off of it.
Once all ingredients have been spread out on the strip lightly pull up the end of the dough opposite the pepperoni. Then begin to roll the dough into a pizza rose.
Bake roses for 6 minutes, then rotate and bake for an additional 7 minutes.
Allow the pizza roses to cool slightly then transfer to a dish and enjoy!
