Heart Shaped Pizza
It’s February, which means Valentine’s Day (Galentines) activities are on my mind. Typically, folks like going out for Valentine’s Day, but my husband and I have made heart-shaped pizzas a tradition. Honestly and in our opinion, it makes for a much better, less stressful time. Imagine this, your favorite candle burning, a heart-shaped pizza and wings on their way, and you’re queuing up your favorite rom-com in cute and comfy pajamas. Traditionally, we order our pizza, this year I wanted to see if I could make my own pie, and honestly guys it’s so dang easy!
Ingredients
1 lb Pizza Dough (I buy mine freshly made from Publix)
Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Vodka Sauce
Pepperoni (~ 17 of them, but add more or less depending on your preference)
Semolina Flour
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Line a baking sheet or pizza round with parchment paper and set aside.
Optional (but recommended): Use a mini heart-shaped cookie cutter to turn your pepperoni into a heart-shaped pepperoni.
Dust a clean area with semolina flour then roll out your pizza dough.
Once you have a traditional round shape, it’s time to craft your heart. Take a pizza cutter and structure the bottom of the heart then the cupid’s bow top portion. If it’s not perfect, no worries! You can reshape it with your hand as well.
Once you’ve shaped your pie, spread your vodka sauce evenly throughout it.
Next top with your shredded mozzarella and heart-shaped pepperoni.
Place your pie in the oven to bake for 18 minutes.
